Position Title Student Success Advisor I
Job Description Summary

•Provide students with intrusive academic advising/planning, transfer counseling, career guidance, and personal support.
•Provide assistance to students who are undecided about a major with choosing an academic or career pathway.
•Monitor student progress and connect students to available resources to promote academic and student success.
•Assist all students with understanding the policies and procedures for satisfactory academic progress and graduation.
•Work cooperatively and collaboratively within a team, the department, and campuses; and with faculty and staff to ensure the delivery of academic and support services to students.
•Assist with providing services to special student populations such as dual enrollment, military/veteran, adult education, transfer, etc.
•Participate in weekend and after hour advising, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
•Participate in team meetings, divisional meetings, convocation, and professional and staff development trainings.
•Teach Student First Year Seminar Experience course as needed.
•Provide outstanding customer services to all internal and external customers.
•Maintain accurate records of all student interactions.
•Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications Desired

Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related field required. Experience working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of guiding individuals towards future opportunities desired. Minimum three (3) years higher education experience in an academic advising setting.
